Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
Jar ("we", "us") is a conversational AI assistant operated by Rubric Labs. This policy describes, at a high level, how we handle information when you text our SMS number or use the service.
Information we collect
- Phone number โ the number you text from, used as your account identifier.
- Messages โ the content of SMS/MMS you send to Jar and our replies, so the assistant has context.
- Usage data โ timestamps, message metadata, and internal usage metrics for reliability and abuse prevention.
How we use it
- To operate the assistant and respond to your requests.
- To maintain continuity across conversations (so Jar remembers what you told it).
- To debug, secure, and improve the service.
Sharing
We use third-party providers to deliver the service, including Twilio (SMS carrier connectivity) and large-language-model providers (to generate replies). We do not sell your data. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
We retain conversation history for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.
Opt-out
Reply STOP at any time to any Jar message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your usage.
